How does a bid work

There are 4 possible ways you may place bids during our Art & Antiques Auctions.

1 You may leave a written offer on 1 or more lots. To do this, go to the catalog, click on the desired lot, then click on bid, enter your maximum bid, and click, or continue bidding if you also want to bid on other lots, or on send. Then click on finish, fill in your details here and click on send. You will then receive a confirmation from us by email within 24 hours. During the live auction, we will bid on your behalf, up to your maximum bid. If there are no other competing bids, the lot will be sold for a lower amount than your maximum bid. If there are 2 equal written bids, the auctioneer selects the winning bidder in random order. If you are the winning bidder, you will receive your purchase invoice by email within 48 hours after the last auction day. Written bids are accepted up to 24 hours before the start of the auction.
2 You may bid on 1 or more lots by telephone. To do this, send us an email at info@veilinghuisdejager.nl with your name, address, and the telephone number where we can reach you during the live auction. Phone lines are limited. Please do not wait too long to place your request. Requests will be confirmed up to 24 hours before the auction starts. The minimum opening bid for a telephone bid is €200. If the starting amount of a lot is higher, you must place the opening bid. If the starting amount is lower than €200, you must place a bid of least of €200 on this lot. If you do not want to leave a €200 opening bid, you may leave a written offer as described above. If you are the winning bidder of any lots, you will receive your purchase invoice by email within 48 hours after the last auction day.
3 You may bid live during the auction via the internet. To register for live bidding please click here, then fill in the requested information here, within 24 hours your registration will be checked, and a decision will be made if you are approved to bid. This is an English language system and you must have a credit card to verify your identity. Registration to bid via the internet must be done at least 24 hours before the start of the auction. If you are the winning bidder, you will receive your purchase invoice by email within 48 hours after the last auction day.
4 Be present during our auction, at our location, Livingstoneweg 18 in Goes, and bid on the auction floor.

If you would like to have your purchases shipped, we offer the service for this. We ONLY ship via DHL Express, This is a more expensive carrier, however we received far too many complaints about other carriers, therefore we will only use DHL Express. The shipping costs will depend on the size and weight of the package, along with the insured value. There is also a fixed fee of € 25 per package for Handling and Packing. Collection of your purchases is possible between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., by appointment only, on the Saturday following the auction and on the Thursday and Friday of the following week.
